A day at the Health and Safety Laboratory

Posted on Updated on

Today I got to hang out with a bunch of #hygienegods in #hygieneheaven…the Health and Safety Laboratory, in Buxton, UK.

I need to thank Kate Jones and the numerous members of staff at the HSL who graciously gave up their time for me today. From finally meeting the famous vomiting Larry (pictured), to being able to ask all those random questions to fellow scientists, today was simply mind blowingly awesome.

For those unfamiliar with the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL), it provides health and safety solutions to industry, government and professional bodies in the UK. Their main focus is on understanding and reducing health and safety risks. They offer health and safety research, expert advice and consultancy, specialist training and products.

They are an independent agency of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), and employs over 350 scientific, medical and technical specialists (#hygienegods).

So look out for the various interviews with the #hygienegods soon!
