Today marks the very last blog post from the UK. This trip has been a complete once in a lifetime experience for me, and I have tried to relish every minute of it and tried to take in and learn as much as I could.
A very big thank you goes to Drager for continuing to sponsor the award I was so lucky to receive which led me here in the first place. Thank you also to the AIOH and to my various hosts along the way who took me in, gave me tours, generously lent me their time, and genuinely were enthusiastic about the idea of freely giving me information for my own professional development!
I hope I have managed to convey just how amazing winning the young hygienist award is, and hopefully I have inspired other young hygienists to apply for this award either this year, or in the future (just go for it!). The opportunities that this award has given me are invaluable, and it is a journey that I will cherish forever!
Lastly a big thank you goes to all of you who have helped made me feel that I was never alone (whilst travelling alone!) and for your “Likes” and comments along the way.
So I am now officially on holidays for a week…catching up on well-needed mum and wife duties and promising not to touch a computer, iPad, iPhone or any electronic device for at least 5 days…promise!
See you in Sydney.
